Joan Cheruiyot is a lecturer in the Discipline of Nursing, School of Nursing, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Maseno University, a doctoral student at the School of Nursing and Public Health, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Howard College Campus in Durban, South Africa. She has worked with research (the Philippines and South Africa) and education of health professionals in Kenya, for over 8 years, predominately in adult health nursing, rehabilitation nursing, caring nursing science, and guideline development. She teaches medical-surgical nursing at the undergraduate level and is also a peer reviewer for international and local journals.
